Mike Pegg of Google Maps Mania has done a great job keeping the community updated on new and interesting tools that use the Google Maps APIs. His latest post targets the latest creation tools including:

* TinyMap: Quick and easy Google Maps
* Add your own map markers on CommunityWalk: Automatically adds a legend icon, shadowing and IE printing functionality. (Example here)
* GeoMonkey: Build your own map and explore others.
* Mapdaze: Google Maps creation tool meant for embedding into blogs.

We are always excited to see developers create tools that make it easy for anyone to effortlessly create their own Google Map. There's no reason why developers should be having all the fun. :)

結構前からGoogle Maps APIを使って色々遊んでみたいのですが、いまだに遊べてません。
この調子だとまだしばらく何も作らないんだろうなぁ・・・

AdWords Editor 3.0 now available for Windows

AdWords Editor 3.0 is now available for Windows. With Version 3.0, you can:

* Add or edit site-targeted campaigns
* Add or edit negative sites for keyword- and site-targeted campaigns
* Edit another account while posting or checking your changes
* Pause or resume individual ads, keywords, and sites
* See the number of rows you've selected in the data view

If you're already using AdWords Editor, your version will be updated automatically the next time you start the application. You can also get AdWords Editor directly from the download page. For more details, please check out the release notes section of the AdWords Editor website.

Please note that Version 3.0 is currently available for Windows 2000/XP/Vista only. If you're a Mac user, we won't keep you waiting long -- AdWords Editor 3.0 for Mac is scheduled for release in a few weeks.

アドワーズエディタ３．０のウィンドウズ版がリリースされたとのことです。
アドワーズエディタ３．０では以下のことが出来るようになったそうです：
サイトターゲットキャンペーンの追加と編集
サイトターゲットキャンペーンとキーワードの除外サイトの追加と編集
複数アカウントの同時編集（？）
個々の広告、キーワード、サイトの一時停止と再開
データビューで何行選択してあるかの表示

Mac版も数週間以内にローンチされるとのことです。

Just a reminder… per our announcement on November 9, we will shutdown Version 6 of the API on Monday, March 12, 2007.

Please make sure you migrate your applications to Version 7 or 8 by March 12. You can find more information about these versions (including the release notes) at http://www.google.com/apis/adwords/developer/index.html.

11月9日にアナウンスしたとおり2007年3月12日にAPIのヴァージョン６が終了します。
3月12日までにヴァージョン７または８に移行してください。
とのことです。

定期的にアップデートがあって、新機能のリリースなどがあるのは嬉しいですがシステム管理者的には結構大変でしょうね。

そもそもYahoo!のAPIって何かと言いますと、

検索、オークション、地図情報など、Yahoo! JAPANを代表するサービスがAPIを公開しています。これらのAPIを活用すれば、オリジナルの検索サイトや地図サービスサイトなどを手軽に作ることができます。

という説明がありました。

実際に開発をする前に幾つか必要な手順があるので簡単に紹介します。
1.　Yahoo! JAPAN IDを取得
　アプリケーションIDの登録に必要です。
　普通にYahoo!IDを持っていればOKです。
2.　アプリケーションIDを登録
　APIの1日あたりの使用回数に制限があったりするので、このIDで管理されています。
3.　開発
　幾つか簡単な物を書いた事がありますが、非常に簡単です。
　そのうち簡単なサンプルをアップする予定です。

リクルートもマッシュアップコンテストを開催していますし、最近目に見えて増えてきましたね。
時間を作って自分でも何か書いてみたいのですけどね・・・

黒いiMac

And if I’m willing to wait a few months, it could be a black iMac. That’s the rumor du jour, according to MacScoop, who’s heard through a cousin’s friend’s dog trainer’s parole officer that Apple is planning a major product update for the aging iMac, which includes a black option, much like like what’s available with the MacBook.

MacScoopによると黒いiMacが出るというウワサがあるとのことです。
従兄弟の友達の犬のトレーナーの保護観察官に聞いたってあるんですけど、これって隠語か何か？？？

他にもiMacっていう名前じゃなくなるかもね的な話ものっていました。


もし本当ならLeopardがのってるBlack iMacが出るまでPC買うのを待とう、とか思ってたらGIGAZINEにも黒いiMac関連の記事が出てました。
ブラックiMacと8コアCPU搭載のMac Proが来月には登場か

MacScoopというアップル関連のいろいろな噂を取り扱っているサイトによると、内部からリークされた情報として、来月には黒色のiMac「ブラックiMac」と、8コアのCPUを搭載した最上位版Mac Proが発表されるかもしれない、とのこと。

とのこと。
話の出所は同じみたいです。
